All CAI certifications are valid for two years. To renew your certification, you must earn Continuing Appreciative Inquiry Development (CAID) hours by participating in ongoing learning opportunities. APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY CORE COMPETENCIES
The Center for Appreciative Inquiry (CAI) has identified essential competencies to enhance your understanding, skills, and application of Appreciative Inquiry (AI). BREAKDOWN OF RENEWAL HOURS
APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY FACILITATOR CERTIFICATION
Number of Hours Required: 26 CAID Hours
• 16 hours must be in Appreciative Inquiry Core Competencies;
• the remaining 10 hours may be in Comprehensive Growth.
APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY COACH CERTIFICATION
Number of Required Hours: 32 CAID hours.
• 19 hours must be in Appreciative Inquiry Core Competencies;
• the remaining 13 hours may be in Comprehensive Growth.
CAI TRAIN-THE-TRAINER CERTIFICATION
Number of Required Hours: 40 CAID hours.
• 24 hours must be in Appreciative Inquiry Core Competencies;
• the remaining 16 hours may be in Comprehensive Growth.
APPRECIATIVE RESILIENCE FACILITATOR CERTIFICATION
Number of Hours Required: 20 CAID hours.

APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION
Number of Hours Required: 32 CAID hours.
